Hi
First of all this is a holding bid because you haven't specified numbers and length of booking, (and quite a few other important bits of information)
Secondly there is a legal requirement in the UK for anyone in full time education aged 16 or under to have a performance licence issued for any day in which they rehearse/work, (and it is not transferable if the weather is bad), even if the job is in the school holidays or at a weekend. Failure to do so will cause you to suffer very harsh penalties ... possibly a criminal record. If the licensing authority makes a mistake on the date you have to move your shoot. It takes two weeks to get a licence.
Yes you can get child performers freelance, but you have to do those licences and just filling in the forms is a nightmare. That's why I always use an agency for such work. I scout for such an agency and can get what you need at a surprisingly good price. Better still, the agency does the licences. See the shot of the two girls with the hoverboards and the girl with the lavender in my portfolio - same agency - and the girl on her own has performed in the West End.
So please, a complete brief - how many kids (and older), genders, ages, dates, times, venues, name of choreographer, pre-shoot rehearsal details, dance discipline e.g. ballet, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, Bollywood etc? "Free-style" is inadequate. I'll get a short-list together and then we can discuss.
I await your message.
Kind regards
Barney
