209074 Google Maps - Filemaker/Web

Greetings, We're looking for some basic help integrating Google Maps into our Apache/PHP/Filemaker 9 environment. we are new to Google Maps and are struggling with the FileMaker integration. We have a Filemaker database of people around the world with lon/lat info. We've used a tool from FMWebschool to generate a map at: [login to view URL] but you can see that we cannot figure out how to pass custom variables to control the Google API (icon size, shadow, clustering). It uses a PHP file at [login to view URL] Ideally, you will tell us how to modify this file to accomplish the following: 1) We need a map that is driven from the FileMaker database (this works but the icon size, shadow and count does not change) 2) Build into your code variables to replace the icon with a custom icon that is smaller, has a smaller shadow, and has a smaller (and hence appropriately located) click region. 3) Shows a reduced set of markers (clustering) at distance views and an gradually increasing number of markers at increasing resolutions. 4) Can limit the highest zoom of the interactive map 5) Ideally would use a smaller marker icon at lower resolutions as well. We are looking for these functions: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] (note zoom weather map and clustering Google offices examples) I will be doing the actual integration into a web page. If you can tweak the FMwebschool [login to view URL] code linked above that is the most simple approach. If not, then I will need sample code to access my FileMaker database using PHP along with the code to interface to Google Maps. In either case the code you develop needs to show clearly how to modify the icon, shadow, size, clustering, and limit the zoom. There are several enhancements and other projects related to using a PHP front end to a FileMaker based registration and family history registration database we are putting together.
