As a former military translator, transcriber and interpreter with many years' experience in a number of languages, accuracy and timeliness are my watchwords. My areas of expertise include military, maritime, aviation, intelligence, engineering, sub-Saharan Africa, SEO, Business Development, importation, logistics, customer services, the leisure/travel industry and most recently the oil/gas/water pipeline industry. A letter sent by the Commanding Officer, 800 Naval Air Squadron, to the Captain of HMS Ark Royal, the Royal Navy's flagship at that time, thanking him for loaning me to the squadron to provide linguistic support to their deployment to Corsica to conduct an exercise. As the only French speaker in a team of more than 80 personnel, I was kept very busy during this period and gained immense satisfaction and a great deal of knowledge from it.

Responsible for planning pipeline survey missions throughout France, from logistics planning through to arranging meetings with clients to obtain work permits and discuss risk plans, dealing with hotel bookings, troubleshooting and post-mission report writing. All work was conducted on the assumption that the client spoke no, or very limited, English.
