QR Type digital image capture and pattern matching

First, we want to capture a digital image of a unique 'spray pattern' of dots on an iPhone or Android with at least 7MP camera resolution. (pattern examples attached)

This pattern will already be stored digitally in a database.

These dots would either be from an actual 'spray pattern', or a digitally made 'spray pattern'

Once the image is captured, it will be compared to the database of original patterns to find the absolute unique match to the original.

The images will be 2.5x2cm for testing.

There will be 10,s of thousands, and ultimately 100's of thousands of unique images.

Testing will be required on what parameters of the original image will give the best match with the smartphone captured images.

We are seeking 99%+ match rates
