It would be helpful if I recognize tables on pages itselves as possible to then extract the data from it.

Can you deal with this and try to build a script (python) that accepts a PDF or Tiff file and then determines the area in which a table is located?

It's not based on OCR so I infer they scan input file as image and use statistical view of binary representations of a page (by searching continuous objects as lines - like described in research paper). Such script is not very hard to prepare but it's of cost 10x more then 20€ I suppose.
