I am a committed public health consultant with a dedication to addressing inequities in healthcare. I have a foundation in nursing, having trained as a Registered Nurse in the UK, and spent four years serving within the National Health Service before clinical roles abroad, in Cardiac and Acute medical wards. My experience in the UK and abroad (Uganda, Bermuda, Nepal and Malaysia) has instilled on me the need for tailor made solutions to reach those currently underserved by existing services. I recognise the importance of understanding the needs of community members in designing interventions, and how community members engagement is essential to result in behavour change. I hold a Master's in Public Health with merit from Brunel University, London. My practical experience includes project management for a small free-to-access healthcare clinic in Kathmandu, Nepal. Here, I conducted a pre-project needs assessment, oversaw the development of a tailored database, and provided staff training. Feedback obtained during monitoring and evaluation included that clinical staff have more time for patients, and that patients receive a more personal service, waiting times are shorter, and quality of care has improved overall. Thus evidences the success of this project. My work has been praised by the NGO's board of trustees. Currently, I am engaged in a behaviour change campaign focused on reshaping young people's attitudes towards recycling, with a particular emphasis on leveraging social media platforms for effective outreach. Additionally, I possess extensive experience in online event promotion and event planning, having organised numerous benefit concerts for various charities, with a focus on addressing inequality, for local homeless peoples’ charities, and larger international organisations such as Doctors Without Borders. Drawing on over seven years of experience as a Registered Nurse in diverse acute healthcare settings, and 3 years experience of public health consultancy, I am highly motivated and genuinely invested in reducing inequities in healthcare.
