High Security Fraud Detection System Duration: 1 year (UK) Team Size: 15 Technology: VC++ Scope: F It is an embedded solution to the ATM Frauds taking place across the world. F The Hardware part of HSFD senses the abnormal activities (Frauds) taking place in an ATM. This sensing is done with the help of capacitive sensors. F The software consists of list of all sensors along with their respective configuration. F It also consists of the Status of the sensor if it is OK or ALERT. F Till everything is normal the Software displays it as OK. F Once an abnormal activity is sensed around the ATM the software displays an ALERT. F The Hardware also consists of an modem which is used to dial the numbers of the Bank and the police. Device Drivers for Printer Duration: 2 years Team Size: 6 Technology: C,C++ Scope: F Handled support side of the Device Driver of Printers. Printers include Statement printers, receipt printers and journal printers. F Was actively involved in the bug fixing for these printers. F Job included fixing the software bug and delivering the MSI to the SCM Group. F Work closely with the UK support team in order to meet the deadlines. Device Drivers for Camera Duration: 2 years Team Size: 6 Technology: C,C++ Scope: F Worked on the support side of the Device Driver of Camera. F Actively involved in the bug fixing for the Camera. F Job included fixing the software bug and delivering the MSI to the SCM Group. Electronic Voting Machine Duration: 3 months Team Size: 3 Technology: Embedded Systems Scope: F It consists of MicroController 8051, 8 digit display and Switches.. F The microcontroller is hard coded with a software program which senses the switch being pressed and accordingly increment the corresponding candidate votes. F There is a master switch the pressing of which would display all the candidates’ votes in an order. Speech Synthesis and processing: 1. It is mainly a text to speech converter. 2. It consists of a Speech Processor SP0256AL2 which has all the phoneme codes embedded into it. 3. The output of the Processor is fed to an DAC and then an amplifier and finally to the speaker. 4. The software consists of a VB interface which will read the document data. 5. A database is maintained which will have a list of all the commonly used words and their corresponding phoneme codes. 6. This data is then compared with the data in a database and the corresponding phoneme code is transmitted to the Hardware via the serial port. Which is further converted into Audio sound. High Frequency Track Circuit Duration: 1 year 6 months Team Size: 3 Technology: Hardware Scope: F This is used in order to detect the presence of train on the Track. F When the train is not present on the track the receiver receives the full signal transmitted by the transmitter. F When the train comes on the track then the axels of the train shunt the track thus preventing the full signal to go to the receiver. F On not receiving the complete signal the receiver drops the relay and this information is passed on to the station.
