Designation: Information System Analyst
Working as a UNIX administrator in the Enterprise offshore support Team to support the Corporate Infrastructure which includes 200+ Enterprise unix servers, Domains, NAS, SAN, and Backups etc. The job involves monitoring and maintenance of the infrastructure and takes corrective actions and find permanent solution for any issues. I have done automation of the monitoring activities using shell scripts. I am single handedly responsible for maintaining all the servers during the US night time.
• Have installed (jumpstart/cdrom), configured and administered Solaris 8, 9 and 10 on enterprise class SPARC servers.
• Have configured Sun Volume Manager, Solaris Disksuite and veritas volume manager to build RAID configuration in solaris.
• Have configured and administered Veritas Netbackup software. Have managed tape libraries, master and media servers. Have experience in working with D2D backups using Datadomain boxes. Have very good troubleshooting abilities in veritas netbackup.
• Have configured and managed Netapp NAS filers. Familiar with the ONTAP OS of the Netapp filers. Have configured NFS and CIFS access to the filers. Have configured NDMP backups for the filers to store terabytes of data.
• Have experience in working in the storage environment (IBM Shark and EMC Clarion). Have built the sun servers and have configured them to connect to storage using lpfc software. Have knowledge in EMC navisphere and LUN allocation.

Systems Engineer responsible for installation, management, and monitoring of Solaris systems, Sun ONE suite and associated hardware/software for Oil And Natural Gas Corporation. In addition to my official duties as a Unix Admin, I routinely provide support which includes software and network troubleshooting, Windows desktop troubleshooting/support, and acting as a liaison between development staff and client. I have also accepted Oracle DBA responsibilities and provided operational support to the portal development team requiring data backup/archival, job automation and scheduling, or nightly reporting.
• Have installed and configured Sun ONE portal server, Sun ONE Webserver and Secure Remote Access for the intranet portal.
