Old fisherman wooden boat from Ohrid Lake, had outstanding historical, cultural and social role in the overall life of the citizens and others who have lived and existed around the lake. Although it is called fishing boat, it is also served for transport, trade, and other ceremonies such as weddings. It was the primary means of economic existence for many of the residents around the lake. Wooden Boat was famous for getting together the people from both sides of the lake. During the II world war, was a means of smuggling weapons and transport of troops and surpassed the barriers between the divided territories under occupation. After the war, the trade and transport are interrupted and many people dealing with fisheries, trade, transport, are become jobless. The remains of the settlement were discovered at this spot and between 1997 and 2005 they were gradually excavated by an underwater team – the Museum on Water is an elaborate reconstruction of the settlement as archaeologists think it would have looked between 1200 and 600 BC.
