Objective:
I am seeking a challenging technical projects, which will permit me to continue practicing and expanding my skill set and knowledge base. I am equally comfortable and qualified for windows or linux development and testing.
As a result of my developed analytical problem solving skills and ability to learn new tasks and concept abstractions quickly, I am also more than willing to accept a project in an exciting new area that I have not yet had the opportunity to work in.
Professional Experience:
**Sep 2007 - Present IT Manager The Maritime Company for Navigation**
* Managed all project in relation to information technology across three offices located across the east coast and one in Egypt.
* Handled an expense budget relating to new hardware and software purchasing as well as payroll for IT professionals in out other office locations.
* Managed the assignment of projects to multiple IT professionals in each location.
* Headed the project for a new revised cargo tracking and documentation project working closely in communication with the software developers hired who were located in Dubai, India
* Restructured the entire active directory domain structure, group policies, and organizational units to better reflect the company.
**Jan 2003 – Aug 2007 Network/Security Engineer WireFly Communications LLC**
· Responsible for administering several Linux servers, Red Hat and Fedora, key to the smooth operation of the company. Services maintained include mail (sendmail), web (apache), DNS (bind), authentication (RADIUS), FTP, TFTP, and system monitoring software.
· Responsible for onsite administration of client servers, including Windows 2000 and 2003. Maintained services including Exchange and IIS.
· Provided network security analysis and troubleshooting for Medium to Large scale network infrastructures.
· Provided comprehensive network activity and security reports, in order to propose methods to create a more productive and secure network computing environment.
**April 2001 – Dec 2002 Lab Technician Coastal Carolina Community College**
· Responsible for the diagnosis and repair of lab computers. Including: hardware trouble shooting, network trouble shooting, and component replacement(hd, mother board)
· Gave technical assistance and instruction to lab computer users in the areas of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access to students in Introduction to Computers CIS110
· Provided guidance and instruction in C++ and Visual Basic application development, from GUI design, application flow, and source code analysis. To students majoring in Computer Programming.

During my personal time I have contributed greatly to the Fedora Project through cross compiling applications for the Fedora Extra’s Software Repository. I have helped in the discovery and implementation of numerous software vulnerabilities in Yahoo Messenger, mIRC, and Internet Explorer. Practicing proper vulnerability disclosure and reporting to the respective authors of said software.
