KEY TASKS: • To support the work of the MIS (Management Information Services) Department by learning, through both internally and externally provided training and day-to-day hands-on experience, how to participate in the on-going maintenance and development of the University’s integrated multi-vendor business and academic applications, using a range of software tools, programming languages and database technologies. • To become able to identify software problems and potential solutions and to communicate these to the MIS Manager and/or software support house. • To become proficient in programming in .NET and C# and maintaining and enhancing web-based applications through the use of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. • To assist in the installation, testing and implementation of new packages and upgrades . • To learn how to execute and document the testing of new software and upgrades and to progress to developing test procedures at all levels (unit, end to end, system and user acceptance)
