Matt S.

At NIU, Matt has been involved in musical ensembles such as Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Philharmonic Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble and the Marching Band. ​Starting WGI in 2012 with Green Thunder Percussion, (GTP) Matt continued on to march 5 years of GTP and what is now known as Cavaliers Indoor Percussion (CIP). Stover’s DCI background involves Colts (2013) and Phantom Regiment (2014, 2015, and 2016). As for other performance outlets, Matt’s been an active snare drummer in the Stampede Drumline the last three years. On the teaching side, Matt has had the honor to work with various high schools in the Chicagoland area as a Consultant/Battery technician such as Plainfield North (2013), Lake Park and Maine West (2014), and most recently, the Lincoln Way Mega-band (2016). In addition to adjudicating in the marching arts, he taught a middle school percussion ensemble at Mokena Middle school in the years 2013 and 2014 where he also taught private lessons.
