Traffic Model for Narrow Band Power Line Communications Networks

IoT is an important topic in Research. One key technology for IoT development is Power Line Communications, which is widely used in Domotic Networks. One important theorical lack of this studies is the abscence of traffic models for these networks. With the aim to improve this situation, we have performed a study with a Narrow Band PLC Low Voltage Network. In this work, we have performed traffic measurements, and we obtained that this system can be modeled as a Poisson traffic model.
An approach to support traffic engineering in IPv6 networks based on IPv6 facilities

This paper describes a new solution to support traffic engineering based on the usage of the IPv6 flow label for providing fast packet switching, which we have called PSA-TE6. In this document, we present the PSA-TE6 operation and evaluation regarding the label space reduction, label stacking cost and its minimization. The results show that PSA-TE6 is cheaper compared to the IP/MPLS solution when there is no label stacking.

Una de las situaciones más críticas en todo el mundo en el año 2020 es la pandemia del Covid-19. Todas las áreas de la sociedad han colapsado debido a la cuarentena declarada en diferentes países. Uno de los recursos de infraestructura más importantes en esta situación ha sido el servicio de Internet debido a que las personas deben trabajar o estudiar desde sus casas. En este artículo se realiza un análisis del comportamiento del tráfico en diferentes ISPs en Colombia.
