My name is Farooq Kariem and I am a Freelance Illustrator and Cartoonist specialized in Sequential Arts. For years I have been sharing my love the art of animation, comics, and children's storybooks. My work shows my passion towards becoming the industry’s next Visual Developer. I have taken both commission and contract work assisting in comic art, storyboarding, character design, concept art, album artwork, branding and logos, and more. One of my passion projects, my comic “REC,” is an adorable look into the life of a college couple and their newborn son. Some stories were based off real circumstances that involved me and my partner as we go through the crash course of parenthood. Though a simple comic strip, plans for creating a printed book and an eventual animated series are in the works. I am also very adamant to learn from the industry and the creative people involved. Each connection created is an opportunity to share insight and to establish genuine bonds, something I hold very wholeheartedly
