PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
January 2001 – Freelance professional interpreter/translator.
I worked on several Nokia major projects involving proprietary IT software and hardware providing the Romanian version of all such project related documentation, instructions etc.
Subtitling translations for a UK based translation agency .
Legalized and notarized translations of contracts, commercial agreements, articles of incorporation, arbitration awards.
A number of agreements for The National Petroleum Company “PETROM” S.A. and their foreign partners e.g. UOP LLC, Hyundai, Engelhard, Akzo Nobel, ATE Geoclean, Sud-Chemie, Linde AG, Honeywell, IFP, Phillips Petroleum Company, STRATCO, Nuovo Pignone, EXXON MOBIL, MAN Turbomaschinen AG, etc.

1979-June 1999:
I worked for PETROTEL S.A. (currently PETROTEL-LUKOIL S.A.) an integrated refinery and petrochemical complex as technical interpreter/translator from/into English and French, Romanian, my native language being Romanian. I gained vast experience in refinery and petrochemical engineering translations in my position as interpreter with numerous technical supervisor teams from UOP – U.S.A., MITSUI Engineering, MITSUI Petrochemical, ETHYL – UK, ELLIOTT U.S.A., HOUDRY U.S.A., L’AIR LIQUIDE France. I was involved in all stages of implementation of large investment projects of this refinery.
In 1997 I was appointed Public Relations Officer at PETROTEL S.A. Ploiesti.
With over twenty four years of continued education and experience, I have acquired practical engineering and technical communication skills. Such skills are augmented by my ability to adapt, to learn quickly and to apply my knowledge in effective creative ways.
1975 – 1979
I was employed by ROMLUX Targoviste, an incandescent lamps factory, as a planning executive within the import-export department where I was involved in negotiating and monitoring import and export agreement development.
I provided technical translations for the BADALEX U.K technical team in their implementation of a new project within the company. In 1979 I was assigned the responsibility of providing technical translations and organizing technical meetings for all talks and development stages of a major project design and site implementation with TOSHIBA, Japan.
I am a very positive person with high personal standards and a strong work ethic. I am able to work comfortable with people at all levels, as well as independently, with little or no supervision and have a strong desire to continue learning and growing. I am a steadfast, self-motivated professional with recognized achievements in written technical translations, simultaneous interpretating during multinational meetings and commercial negotiations.
