Mechanical + Industrial Design of Unidirectional Plastic Key Feature
Project Objectives:
– Design and develop a unidirectional plastic key feature for 2 different size cylinders to ensure said cylinder is mounted or hosted in one direction.
– Design and develop rough concepts for the carriage or mounted side (receiver) that allow for easy insertion and removal.
– Design should be thoughtful, intuitive and cost effective to manufacture in some plastic at scale.
– Design should include some minor features to include an inset 3.5mm x 6.5mm x 0.75mm plastic piece on the rear.
– Cylinders are on the small side and are handled by a single hand. CAD of both cylinders available.

– Solidworks
– Industrial Design
– Mechanical Engineering
Inputs:
– CAD files of 2 different sized cylinders
Deliverables:
– CAD files in .stp, .stl and .igs

2. All work related to this project is to be owned by us. A signed innovation assignment agreement and a NDA is required.
