We need someone to fix the muliplayer aspect of this racing game so players can play online against each other.
Here's there story: The online racing feature worked before people had rotuers in their homes. The works ok in Lan mode, but if you want to play agaisnt people over the internet then it doesn't know how to connect. Your job is to make Internet games work again.
What we wont accept is a soultion that requires the user to enable port forwarding on their router. We also don't want players needing to do anything overly technical to play the game. Any fix should be as invisible as possible
Possible methods to fix this include:
-Hopepunching
-Having a central game server which hosts the games
-Making the client be able to connect via tcp/ip to the other players machiens
-Creating a VPN so all players are on the same lan (this must be easy for users to connect to without coniguriing stuff)
How to compile the game:
Open it in VC2003 and compile it
Movile the compiled files from "release" to "bin". If the [login to view URL] executable is not in a folder called bin it will crash
How to Play the Game:
Double click [login to view URL]
Choose Internet Game
Create a new game
Start the game
Press Shift to move.
