Job Description:
As a Shopify App Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom Shopify apps to enhance our clients' e-commerce stores. Your primary focus will be on building scalable and efficient applications using Ruby on Rails. You will work closely with our product team to understand requirements, implement new features, and improve the overall functionality of our Shopify apps.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high-quality code and efficient performance.
Collaborate with the product team to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design and implement new features and enhancements to improve the user experience and functionality of our Shopify apps.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and stability of the applications.
Optimize Shopify app performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in Shopify app development.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, with a solid understanding of its ecosystem and libraries.
Experience developing and deploying Shopify apps using Ruby on Rails.
In-depth knowledge of Shopify's API and the ability to integrate external services into Shopify stores.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Solid understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful web services.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize code.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and staying updated on new technologies and trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience developing and maintaining Shopify apps for e-commerce businesses.
Familiarity with Shopify's Liquid templating language.
Knowledge of GraphQL and its implementation within Shopify.
Experience with other programming languages such as JavaScript (React or Vue.js).
