Activation key for products

When a customer buys one of our products (Wordpress/Woocommerce), it will be sent to him with a code. When they receive the order they have to login into their profile and activate their product with the delivered code, basically like a serial-key for software.
In the backend we need to be able to search for a specific code and add information onto the tab of the activated code/product within their profile.
