Build a responsive UI for PoS application

We are in process of designing a Point of Sale solution for an optical store. These stores deal in sale of products such as Prescription Lenses, Sunglasses & Contact Lens. We are looking for visual designs and responsive HTML for the PoS solution. Here is a brief about the application

1. Product category are Prescription Lens, Contact Lens, Frames & Sunglasses

2. Each of these category is further classified

3. Prescription lens are classified as Single focal, Multi focal, Progressive etc. They are further classified based on power and indexes. Different brands manufacture these lenses

4. Contact Lens are classified as daily wear, weekly wear, monthly wears etc and are further classified based on power

5. Frames are classified into metal, shell, full-frame, frameless, half-rim etc. They are broadly split into unbranded and specific brands.

6. Some frames doesn’t support certain lenses. Some variety of lenses will be thick and heavy and doesn’t fit well into certain frames

7. Sunglasses are broadly classified as branded and specific brands. Other classifications are sports, everyday wear, luxury etc

8. Here is how a typical customer experience in case of prescription lens

a. Sales person welcomes customer and checks with him what are the requirements.

b. Customer is asked basic information, which is either filled directly by the customer or sales person fills it for customer

c. Customer has a prescription or to be tested at store.

d. Customer goes through testing, which is done by optometrist

e. Based on prescription, sales person walks the customer through different options of lenses. Sales person recommends a suitable product. Customer makes a choice

f. Based on the choice of lens, sales person shows different frames. Recommendation is based on lens, customer profile (children, young people, working, sports / active person, seniors etc) and finally price range suitable for customer

g. Based on the selected frame, measurements are taken by making he person wear the frame at customer’s comfortable level on nose. Each person’s temple length, nose bridge and distance between eyes are different. So are the measurements. This is a very crucial step after prescription. These two make a product work or break for the customer

h. Finally an sales order is entered into the system. A copy of same is provided to customer along with promise of a delivery date

i. At the time of order customer is required to pay an advance (or can pay full). Various payments methods are supported

j. Internal flow: frame along with the prescription is sent to workshop. There will be a lens procurement process, fitting of lens to the frame and quality testing done.

k. When the order is ready and the spects are at showroom, a SMS alert is sent to customer asking them to pickup the spects.

9. In case of contact lens, if they are readily available, they are handed over immediately to the customer

10. In case of Sunglasses it is straight forward and immediately dispensed to the customer.

11. If a product (contact lens or sunglass) is readily not available at the showroom, the same is procured either from another showroom or from vendors and customer is notified for a pickup
