“Useful tips” - App and Widget

Android version: CyanogenMod 13, Android 6.0 (note: special way to handle permissions)

Installer: apk (optional: zip file for installation in recovery mode)

Application type: home screen widget + app

The app will not be available on Google Play.

Requirements:

+ Use open source libraries

+ Document every function in English

+ RESTful service via HTTPS with client certificate authentication

Deliverables:

+ (mandatory) APK, complete and well-documented source code

+ (optional) Zip file for installation in recovery mode

Basic description:

The widget displays formatted text on the home screen. The text is the form of HTML code and can contain links. A click on the text or title, but not on the links, opens the app.

The app shows the same content with the same formatting. It has a drop down menu that the user can use to filter the content.
