Hi, We are looking to develop an extensive Magento 2 website for baby accessories and hardware.. like strollers, pacifiers, beds etc. We have an extensive list of features we expect on the website and most of these features do not have ready-made extensions to buy (or at least not in the way we expect them to work). The main "heavy" extensions we will need are an Advanced Baby Registry (#2), integration with our cloud-based POS which is called Vend HQ (#3 & #9) and loyalty rewards for product reviews made by customers for confirmed product purchases within a certain time frame and up to a certain number of products for review (#19) and international shipping by volume (#6).
This is the list of features:
1 – Payment Gateway Integrations (CrediMax for Credit Card & BENEFIT for Bahrain-based Debit Card) - Credimax extension exists but may be integrated with the older CrediMax system so either will need to be edited or new development made. Not sure if a BENEFIT extension exists.
2 – Advanced Baby Registry - usually the extensions available in the market allow users to create baby/gift registries and then send them out to friends and friends can buy the product directly from the registry page. Unfortunately all the extensions when the user clicks on the product to view the product page and tries to buy the item from there, the purchase is no longer attributed to the gift registry since the extension does not track that this person was sent this item as part of a registry. Instead it considers it a personal purchase and does not mark the item in the registry as purchased. More details can be explained but we see that Amazon does a good job of remembering that this person was sent a gift registry and is presented with the option of adding this as part of a registry purchase or as a personal purchase.
3 – POS integration (POS updating Magento inventory & Magento updating POS inventory) - Vend HQ has an API which can be used to mark an item as purchased in Vend when it is bought from the site and it also has web hooks which can be used to decrease the item quantity in Magento if an item is purchased from Vend.
4 – Free deliveries for orders above X Bahraini Dinar
5 – Shipping requests to other countries must give messages (customers will be asked to send their order requests via email if shipping to international locations) - Initial treatment of foreign based deliveries
6 – International Shipping by volume - a volume-based calculation of the shipping charges based on country of destination - Later-stage treatment of foreign based deliveries
7 – Preferred Delivery Time - Text on checkout mentioning preferred delivery time
8 – Earn & Spend Loyalty Points
9 – Loyalty Point integration with POS - Loyalty point integration with Vend HQ. Part of the Vend integration is that when a purchase is made in Vend, the customer's online account should have added loyalty points and likewise when a purchase is made online the customer's Vend account gets loyalty points.
10 – Purchase & Use Gift Cards
11 – Coupon Codes
12 – Subscribe to Mailing List (Ability to subscribe/unsubscribe) - needs to be done with a CAPTCHA to prevent spam subscriptions
13 – Blog WordPress Website
14 – Automatic Birthday Wish
15 – Abandoned Cart Messages
16 – Special Offers Page (auto retrieval of products on sale)
17 – New Arrivals Page (auto retrieval of new products)
18 – Top 10 by category (auto retrieval of most popular products)
19 – Rewards for Product Reviews (either by email & customer tracking) - when a customer who has made a confirmed purchase does a product review within a certain period of time he gets loyalty points but with a limit to the number of points he gets for a single purchase's reviews.
