opening of local and remote repository
add, remove, move/rename of a file
commit, push, pull
diff of files
merging
These features are for the most part already existing.
As an alternative to extending the existing fossil plugin the developer can decide to create a new plugin by adapting the existing git (or svn, hg) plugin to use fossil as a client.
