We need an advanced GIS expert with an advanced routing algorithm experience for a public Transit Network (Jitney service). Advanced experience with OTP Server and OSM. Experience with building Geocoding engine and Realtime transit data server a huge plus.

WORK OUTLINE (TASK TO COMPLETE)
Work Proposal
1) Updating data in OTP server (12+hrs )
◦ Creating better method to update data in OTP server
▪ This will allow us to take advantage of improvements in the underlying OSM street data
as well as improvements to the OSM TroTro (Jitney) route data.
◦ Incorporating data from three trial routes (Pilot)
▪ This work is highly dependent on the quality of gathered data. So we will require guidance on how to collect quality OSM routing data by the field agent to improve OTP server data and routing.
2) Improving underlying OSM route data ()
◦ Fixing bad route paths
▪ This will help with the displayed route line, making it actually follow street paths and not
just as the “cow flies”.
▪ These updates will need to be done by hand
◦ Creating stop areas
▪ This will help with the issue of same/similar name stops on either side of a street
▪ It is quite possible to automate some of this process and save time (task)
3) Creating a geocoding engine
◦ Using the Pelias geocoder and various data source to create a geocoding engine/server
that you can query with an address and receive coordinates.
◦We should also make it possible to update with a list of known local sites or attractions
4) Creating a real-time transit data server
▪ Phase 1 – Identifying technology and design requirements
It also requires identifying the best technology for compiling this location data and
generating a real-time transit feed.
▪ Phase 2 – Building and deploying real-time transit feed
This is the bulk of the work
▪ Phase 3 – Modifying OTP server to use real-time transit feed
