Hi guys,
I have a new project I am working on and am looking for an experienced professional to help me. I am about as far away from a tech guy as you can imagine so please expect to work with a non tech guy.
First, I don't know if this is a project one person could do or if it will require a small team. I am open to both options. But if you have the knowledge to do it on yourself I would definitely prefer to work with one point of contact at least in the initial stages.
The Application:
In the title I said I need someone to build me an enhanced version of [url removed, login to view] and that is probably the best description I can give. I liked this program when I used it a long time ago but I found it to be a bit too simple for some of the tasks I wanted to use it for. I'd like to build a similar piece of software that can do the following things in addition:
-Media Inclusion: Embed Videos, pictures, and long form typing into "Expandable Bubbles".
-Save maps as images, download maps, share via social media.
-Password protected maps for open source collaboration.
That is what I want, and that is really all I want. I don't want to make some bloated, feature heavy application. I want it to be painfully simple.
I am setting the budget at $5,000. This is the absolute maximum I want to spend to get things up and running.
As I understand it this project will require Flash. If you can do it without that in a better way, I am open to following your lead.
Also, I do want it to look awesome with a simple/elegant feel. If you can get the rough mock-up of what I am looking for done, than expanding and tweaking should be an easy process.
