Sound to Light schematics:
Circuit Schematic for the following simple projects:
We have a Basic version schematic (can be provided) for single colour: OVERVIEW
12 Volt supply in and out so unit can be daisy chained. Output x 2 with a 4 way switch to control ON/ OFF/ SLOW FADE (using a Capacitor) / Bypass the Fade. With a sensitivity pot. Plus MIC pic up.
The update to this is to add a LINE LEVEL INPUT 3.5mm jack with switch for MIC or LINE IN option (for the trigger). Based on the current PCB layout.
The end result for this project will be 3 versions but may require a higher power version for V2 and V3 to run the LED sheet:
V1. BASIC Single Colour Sound to light, as outlined above.
V2. RGB Output Sound to light with a range of selectable colour, using a mode push switch I this will be done on an 8 Pin / 8Bit Chip we code this. Plus will include our current coded chip (8 Pin) for selection on a 4 way slide switch – as used on V1.
V3. RGB As above but with 2 mode switches, 1 to perform Sound to light colour, and the other to control the Static light colour- when no sound. Modes & colours to be discussed and agreed.
This will use 3 of the 8 bit chips (one for each mode and our current coded one)
The RGB Versions V2 & V3 will be running approx standard will run 100 LEDs - RGB TAPE (5050) in typical use. But the need for a higher power will be required spec below (and design).
Circuit Schematic and PCB Layout for a sheet approx. 40cm 5.5cm = 75 LEDs per strip / max driven up to 7 strips = 525 LED (5050 or 5060 RGB LEDS) 4 pin connector for in and out to chain the panels – type of connector to be agreed.
Please find attached the original BASIC V1 layout which needs some changes. Also a couple of pictures of prototypes before some circuit changes, like MIC being a plug in on 3.5mm jack.
