Freelance Sports Reporter: Columbia, Maryland (USA). Seeking competent freelance sports reporter with good writing skills. Must be free each afternoon from 3 pm to 11 pm to cover live Hammond High School sports, write features, photo captions, and headlines. Must be capable of editing your own work for accuracy, grammar, and sentence structure. Must work closely with seasoned sports photographer.
This is an opportunity to build your reputation. Game day articles must be posted by 11:00 pm the same night, with suggested headlines and photo captions. It’s hard work, but you get paid for exercising your passion.
The candidate must be familiar with a variety of sports and be able to communicate the play-by-play and commentary in written form, and meet the nightly deadline.
Your work will be published nightly on [url removed, login to view], promoted in social media and printed in the weekly print version.
