Hi I have created Guardian Search base the US election. So it only pulls up news about the election only. Did a little bit. now in the JS file containing I need (various) callback function, and a modification of JSONP caller file which populates the buttons/fields and sends the correct parameters to the caller.

pull the API URI generator and have a look at the parameters it needs. See if you can think of a way to map the input parameters of the URI generator to the user fields, and if the user field is empty, send the URI generator an empty string "" in its place.

Alternatively, have a look at the other side - taking the article objects which the API generator retrieves, and generating a callback function which accesses the subfields and populates the "top stories" section.
