We need a new user interface for this online tool:

We believe the interface can be made more user friendly and more modern.

It is imperative that the interface is mobile friendly, and should automatically resize when accessed from a smartphone or tablet (See: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MultiSplit.app or https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/multi-split/id1106909590?mt=8).

Note: When designing the interface, keep in mind that the app will use only the R32 agent, the R410 section will be decommissioned.

Q. What does the app do?
A. The app allows the user to select interior air conditioning units (from different categories and power) and recommends an external unit for the system.

Q. What are the steps a user takes in using the app?
A. The user starts by choosing a category (or power output) for interior A.C. units (i.e.: 5100 BTU, 7000 BTU, etc.).
The user then sees available interior A.C. units from that category and can select any of them (by using the + button).
When selected, the unit appears in the preview section. The user can then switch to another category if needed.
After choosing at least two interior units, the app shows the user a compatible exterior unit (if available).
If the system is configured correctly, the user has the option to fill an online form and send the configuration to a technician.

We only need the design of the interface, no code or scripting.

Please keep all the elements you see in the current interface when creating your version (like prices and stock), but you can move the bigger sections around as you see fit (for example the preview section from the right of the screen can be moved to the left or bottom, etc.).

Please send us mockups for desktop and mobile layouts.

We like clean, easy to use and easy to understand layouts.

Please send the proposals as jpg or png files.
IMPORTANT: If you are selected as the winner, we need the PSD files with layered elements.

We would like a redesign of the interface that also changes the workflow of the app.
Right now your submissions keep the current layout and changes the look of the elements.
This makes the interface look more modern, but we don’t think this is enough to improve the user interaction.
The focus should be on easy to use workflow. We also like the way apple.com focuses on the products by using a minimal design and color palette.
