Hi,
My name is Chris and I am an entrepreneur from Germany. I am looking for an artist who can draw me an entire custom made playing card deck for a new kickstarter campaign. But lets start small. The entire reason for this contest is to find an artist who fits best to my deck vision. So I only want 1 card in this relatively small contest/project. I will offer everyone who hands in a fitting card a much bigger project for my entire deck of custom made playing cards. So there are around 50 to 60 of those cards/pictures planned with a larger budget. And there are plans for more than one deck so I could also do with more than one artist in the future.

Now lets get started…
I want to create a card that is rich in details, realistic style with an aging effect since the whole deck theme is historical. As an good example of what I am looking for in details and quality and also in style you can refer to this project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/320402544/leonardo-art-playing-cards (the “queen of clubs” or the “king of hearts” are good examples of what I am looking for)
Your task is to create a card in the style above about Galileo Galilei. I like this picture of him: http://www.akg-images.de/archive/-2UMDHUS9EWN4.html
Next to his figure I also need a drawing of his telescope like one of these:

In general, feel free to use any picture you want from these 3 objects as a template as long as they are close to the historical real stuff. In the end the total card matters, not 1 object.
Since all the suites later are paid as an extra card and simply put in all cards you can skip these here. Just add a standard suite (hearts or whatever).

Please let me know if you have any questions about the project. Also you can send me sketches and I will give you feedback before you start drawing if you like. I will check this contest every day for posts.

Some legal stuff: All pictures you draw must be made by you and when I make you the contest winner I gain all commercial rights for that picture and you are not allowed to use this picture other than in your portfolio for showing off your great work.

#increaseprize I¨m interested and will be sending a sketch but I do believe that the prize should be increased due to the elaboration and the details of the drawing.... even though it is part of a full deck of cards, the prize is underated....
