We are looking for creative designs for a mobile app icon.

-The app’s name is "Clutch"
-It is an android app similar to dash: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dashlabs.dash.android&hl=en or automatic: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.automatic&hl=en
-The app tracks user's driving habits in real time and offers suggestions so users can save on gas.
-The app is for anyone that has interest in tracking how fuel efficient their driving habits are. Target audience is an everyday driver as opposed to a die-hard 'gear head'.
**-We encourage ALL logo design ideas. There are no specification, but we give preference to clean designs that portray the app's function. Be as creative as possible!
-We would like to receive a file of the winning entry. Any vector file will do (i.e., InkScape, CorelDraw, preferred as native Adobe Illustrator file).

Questions to consider for a good design.

1. Does it work in black and white? This is an industry accepted test for good designs.
a. Keep ornamentation minimal
b. Ornamentation if desired, can always be added to a good design.

2. Does it visually tell a clear story, quickly?... or does it leave you in a vague mindset? Could it be something entirely different than it’s intended to be?
a. a few designs submitted could be misinterpreted as a clock

3. When type cannot be a part of the icon (in very small situations), will the symbol stand on its own?

4. Is it aesthetically pleasing and will it be memorable to the audience.
