1997 Diploma thesis in Electromechanical Energy Conversion Laboratory of the department entitled as “Advanced generator control with input-signals multiplexing using PLC micro-controller in multi task operation”
1999 Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering with general grade “Very Good” from the Telecommunications division of the school.
2000- Ph.D student in Electrical and computer Engineering School of Patras university..
Experience
1997 Practice in Public Power Corporation of Greece studying the communication systems between the plants and the central power management data networks
1999- Employed as Firmware Engineer by Atmel Corporation programming company’s ASIC systems, powered by fast RISC microprocessors such as ARM32-bit and AVR8-bit.
2001-2002 Taking over a project of the company with Nokia for the development of a data cable with USB 1.1 interface to the host. The product was based on ATMEL AT7C711 Usb-R232 bridge powered by an 8-bit AVR RISC microcontroller. The product started being manufactured by Nokia in 2002 and can be currently found on the market as a Nokia original data accesory called DKU-5 and DKU-6 data cable. During this product development traveled several times to San Diego California and Hong Kong where the product is manufactured for consulting and support.
2002-2003 Working with WinCE products of Compaq and after with HP. Compaq first and then HP needed a USB 802.11 station for their IPAQ series PDA in order to add wireless networking capabilities to their devices. This project was based on AT76505A chip powered by an ARM7TDMI Risc Microprocessor. Job done to this project was to work in coordination with the drivers people and make the chip to work with WinCE OS, based on the standard usb station of the company for Windows, MAC-OS and Linux. The product was adopted by HP for another project too with Printers connected in 802.11b Lans.
2003-2004 Assignment of a new project related with all USB station products of the company having to do with Mass Storage Class capabilities addition to the stations. More specifically a Generic USB Mass Storage class was implemented based on SCSI-UFI protocol. This class is compatible with 16/32/64/128/256MB Nand Flash Memories designed by Toshiba, Samsung and ST and gave our usb products a composite device capability working as 802.11b stations, Mass storage Flash disk or both interfaces simultaneously in Windows, MAC-OS and Linux operating systems. During this project 2 trips to Taiwan were necessary for supporting our customers that are currently manufacturing our design.
Development for Patras university of a sophisticated Expert System based on Object Oriented Programming (Visual C++ and Java++, SQL server) for the fault prediction and diagnosis in Distribution substations of power plants.
2004- Development of Software for new company's ASICS based on ARM9TDMI RISC microprocessor in order to migrate to the new generation networking with USB2.0 interface and 802.11g standard wireless network.
For Patras university and for e-class EPEAEK program an e-learning system was developed using state of the Art tools such as JAVA scripting and Macromedia Flash 7 (Action Scipt 2.0). The interactive system created offers the students the capability of running a power electronics laboratory exercise from internet enjoying a well designed graphical interface and real time interaction with advanced animation of the produced wave forms, and complicated online calculations.
