build a facebook application

• Facebook canvas photo editing application to run on Windows, MacOS desktop. • No mobile devices yet. • Screens will be provided by us • Server requirements will be provided by us • App should scale infinitely • Design complete client/server architecture to support app using LAMP stack. Must include fast static file servers (like Varnish with nginx), and memcached where needed. • Implement client in HTML, Javascript, CSS • Implement the server part using LAMP stack technologies • For long-running processes on the server like the photo editing algorithm, communication must be asynchronous. As far as possible, async communication to be used. • Data must be designed (for example, to include Facebook user-id, to store photographs and edited photographs temporarily). • Photo editing algorithm will be provided by us. This has to be integrated with the other server components and communicate with the client Facebook app. • Looking to serve 50,000 users in the first year of operation. All components in the architecture must be I18N and L10N compliant. Also utf-8 compliant. All language-based info must be separated from the application. For the first version, left-to-right based languages can be assumed, English being the first language of deployment
