- Requirement + Budget: Looking to hire web designers to create simple, static websites (think Home, How It Works, Portfolio, About, Contact pages) in under a week. While each website will be its own independent project we're looking for people with a long term view and interested in building 50+ websites (Fixed at $100/website, so $5k+ in billings for 50 sites. Please note that this budget is non-negotiable). - Design Skills: Good design and UI/UX ability is the most important criteria we're looking for. Must have extensive experience building clean, modern looking websites with tech/startup aesthetics; and good command of typography, color theory, fonts, graphic design, and basic copywriting. Experience designing logos is a plus. - Portfolio: Your previous web development portfolio will be the primary factor considered for this project. Applications without a portfolio will NOT be considered. Please respond specifically to the requirements of this post, canned responses will be disregarded. - Web Development Skills: Frontend web development skills to translate designs into websites is a must (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience with static site generators (Jekyll, Hugo, Gatsby) is important, as well as with hosting on Netlify. If you're only a designer and don't have requisite web development skills we're willing to consider you though so do apply (though the rate will be lower to compensate an added web developer). - Communication: Good communication abilities are a must. This includes excellent command of English (absolutely no spelling errors in designs), quick responses (some overlap in hours with Pacific timezone), and 24 hour turnarounds for incremental design improvements. - Other: Ability to translate vague client input or hand-drawn sketches into simple, beautiful designs is a must. Previous agency or freelance experience is useful. We are software agnostic- you make use any tools you work best in.
