I am not sure of the project budget, as there are many of the features which may already exist in clone form. If you have created Facebook apps, we would like that too, but it is not necessary as part of the website programmer skills. [login to view URL] will be a web portal and social web application available across multiple mediums to a varied audience. It will be a place where you can search, share, collect and store memories. All of this will be easy, fast and fun. Start by entering the site and you will be shown an assortment of memory-triggering images one by one from our image library database. The items appear randomly but you can filter by category, alphabetically, by tags, favorites by gender, or by popularity of the items. No registration necessary at this stage. (Sites for inspiration: [login to view URL] without the voting feature. [login to view URL] for their Face-spin feature). If you want to search for something you remember, enter that item in a search box, and click the “Search” button. If the item(s) you are seeking already exist in our image library, they will appear. Also, a web search will simultaneously take place and those images from Google Images, Wikepedia and other sites will appear from the search. (Site for inspiration: [login to view URL] ). Once an item is sourced on the Internet, it is titled, and then you can tag it, and add it to the library for others to access. You can also upload nostalgic images from your own photo files. At any time and anywhere on the site you can take an image and save those images and begin building a Memory Wall. You can sort the items on your Memory Wall alphabetically, categorically by tags, or by favorites. You can surf around other people's Memory Walls and if you like something they have on their Wall, you can easily drag and copy it on to your Wall. (Site for inspiration: [login to view URL] ). You can search for people who share at least 10% of the same items in their Memory Wall as you to help you find people with potentially similar childhood experiences. You can search by tags, visit or create user groups (by category, by year, by products', year, geography, by friends, or by anything at all). (Site for inspiration: [login to view URL] on how they organize the home page images, and allow users to add comments and the sharing of info). Registration is required in order to create Memory Walls, enter comments or visit user groups. Required fields: Name, Password, Sex (M F), Birthday (m-d-y), Country (default to USA), City. Optional fields can include: What city did you live in when you were growing up? What high school did you attend? What groups were you in? Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H etc. The site needs to be self monitoring, and will have flags to anonymously report an incorrect listing, wrong spelling, inappropriate content, etc. Click the flag then click the image. Enter why you think it is inappropriate and send to us to reconcile. Revenues. There will be Google AdWords on the site, as well as links to Amazon, Ebay, and other "affiliates" to find specific nostalgic items they are selling. To make this site viral, it needs to be able to access your email lists, allow users to email items to friends, and invite people to join. You should be able to link from a Facebook app, or link with delicious, twitter, and other social networks either via application hooks or straight posting. To make the site sticky, there will be some simple but fun games or content tabs. These can be added or removed based upon popularity. Here are some possible games/content. (Site for inspiration: [login to view URL] ). Battles- Users can post two or more items for people to vote on. Best toy, worst singer, dumbest song, sexiest actress on Gilligan’s Island, etc. It can include audio clips of jingles or Youtube clips of TV commercials to vote on. Trivia - A trivia game of memories. High scorers will be posted, and perhaps compete against each other. Back to the Future - A predictions page of what you think will one day be obsolete - pennies, toll booths, CD players, analog TV’s etc. (if this doesn’t become a popular tab, then it can move into the User Groups area). Today in History- A list by calendar on what happened each day in history. People can add things or search things and there can be a birthday message element to this. We will encourage companies to write applications for the site and partner with us to help it grow. [login to view URL] will become a social network portal for nostalgia.
