Web Conversion Specialist

Wanted: a person or a small firm interested in taking on web marketing and conversion tasks for several small websites (the sites are loosely integrated) under one owner. Three of the sites focus on business communication and another is about corporate ownership through pension plans and mutual funds. Current and potential revenue comes from (1) books and booklets I've written, (2) AdSense ads, (3) business communication affiliate sales, and (4) a newsletter about business communication that goes out to almost 3,000 subscribers each week. The roughly 100 pages on the sites bring in nearly 6,000 unique visitors per month; however net revenue has fallen to less than $100 per month, so the sites obviously are not converting enough visitors into customers, subscribers, and click-throughs. Your challenges will be to: * develop a conversion strategy for each site * write or revise existing copy as needed * select affiliate products for two sites * structure pages of two sites for AdSense * track responses * adjust strategy or tactics to increase conversions * ongoing improvements of conversion rates More than 400 pages of additional material, mainly on business communication, is available for publication once results are demonstrated. I'm open to ideas, and willing to change what is sold and how it's sold, provided the new ideas are ethical and make reasonable business sense. In addition, I'm prepared to spend a modest amount on website maintenance and upgrades, so you can focus on marketing and conversion, rather than the coding. Compensation: First three months: Monthly retainer of $100 - $300 (through escrow) plus 20% of the net revenue (gross revenue less marketing costs), then starting at the beginning of the fourth month, a straight 30% commission. The goal is to develop a mutually-profitable, long-term business relationship, rather than a quick fix.
