Start up company building its first of many niche social networking sites. Need a designer or team that can handle the following and can provide good incite and ideas. Rough outline of what is needed based on other websites like facebook,myspace, etc. and some dating sites. Look Forward to working with everyone. Admin Watermarks (photo) option Time & Date adjusted to user location Option to select profile as a featured member Selection of multiple profiles, photos, etc. for simultaneous approval Option to let blogs, profiles, photos, etc. show on the website while waiting to be approved Filter email and phone numbers in usernames and on profiles so members cannot get in contact with other users without joining the site Adsense ready Advanced Banner System Banners rotation system management Affiliate system with commissions tracking routine and security tools Very Important: Admin Control Panel will provide information about EVERYTHING that a user does, writes, what friends he has, full member and community analytics!! Bots are favored; want to be able to run site with least amount of employees. Admin will need to have the proper tools to POLICE the community efficiently Need many pages on site as possible for advertisement purposes Site Functions Social networking site to connect people and create buzz about news and new ideas Simple, must be user friendly and easy to navigate Key word and location searches Invite friends from every big site i.e. (MySpace, yahoo, msn, hi5, facebook, friendster, orkut, google, etc) Profiles Customizable by user (easy as drag and drop up to html code writing) –but not too customizable that they are able to do more than what is allowed—probably needs to be discussed more with chosen freelancer. Users will be able to select pre-built full profile layouts, or to select from a library the image for the first block, header and footer for the smaller blocks. User mood Favorite friends on top of list When mouse rests on photo from search result, the picture enlarges automatically Member photos or videos cannot be saved by other members. Pages should be updated live automatically. There should be no need for reloading pages. I.e. new messages, private messaging, new invites, etc... If something is not specified in the project description, or/and was omitted, but it’s highly required because of the nature of social networks, we expect you to let us know what needs to be included/omitted. This is a general description, and final description and instructions will be discussed at the beginning of the project, or as per your request. We also expect you to assist to install the script on our primary server and make sure it will be 100% functional *VERY IMPORTANT* any other feature, function or idea that will improve the usability within the website and member retention is open for consideration We expect the project to be built with templates, to be able to easily modify and apply new designs and skins in all categories, functions and profiles. We require the project to be designer-friendly for future graphics re-designs! Code will be written in English only. Clean, efficient and commented for easy modification Security: Security is a must, no open doors, disable any code injecting or possibility to be vulnerable. Project will be checked by security expert. We expect a 100% fully functional project, bug free, error free There will need to an API or developer kit available from the code we build to let developers/user add their own widgets and content with our look and feel. Very Important The whole website needs to be stable, scalable and efficient. It is a must to be able to run on clustered servers with load balancers! No exceptions! This website needs to function for 100, 10000, 1000000, 5 million users if needed! Project will come through the thorough stress-testing on a server Site will have as many pages as possible for room for advertisements Copyright Source code will belong to us. You can't resell the source files. The coder MUST sign a non-disclosure agreement at the beginning of the project. All code must be unique (not borrowed, stolen, or reused) and more likely to be awarded to a team of programmers rather than just one programmer. All programming will be owned by our company at the completion of the project and may not be used or redistributed later on a project. Update the project status The coder(s) need to update the project status and need to upload the project on the server to share the status daily. Deadline deadline will be set when the project will be start.(It will be depending on the coder, but I expect quick delivery) when the deadline is set, the coder MUST deliver the work by that deadline. (Of course exceptions will be made for legitimate reasons) What’s important for this project is lightweight on the servers. Project will be turn-key based on graphic templates that can be easily adjusted/changed/applied!! We like to work closely with our programmers and expect to have a series of checkpoints and postings on the web to discuss visual layout and functionality. A final fully operational or demo will be required on our servers at our live domain before we can issue final payment
