3d Model 2 Locks and Animate

We need two overhead door locks modeled and need them animated. We will handle the renderings and materials. Phase 1 - Model 2 locks 1) Janus Lock (see picture) Refer to video. Separate Bolt piece (4) b. Slide bolt c. Lock. Separate geometry. Not attached to main model. (Refer to [login to view URL]) Lock mechanism needs to be able to be inserted for animation Notes: 1) Must be modelled in 3d Studio Max and supplied as .max file 2) Please use multiple Edit Poly modifiers to be able to easily go back through modelling iterations. No Booleans. 3) Use scene units as inches 1/32” accuracy. 4) We do not need any materials. Please keep all shapes as grey color. a. Do not worry about etching on surface (logo, patent #, etc) 5) Keep different components labeled on separate layers. Use separate .max files for each lock. 6) We will supply base scene that includes door, door frame and holes in door 7) The locks don’t have to be modelled with extreme precision. We’re trying to make them look as close to the photos as possible. It’s ok to guess on component dimensions. We’re not concerned with the bolt that goes into the door frame. We won’t see that in the animation as door frame will block it. They are roughly 8” long by 3 ½” tall Phase 2 – Animate Locks 1) Design subtle camera animation rotate using dummies and or point objects. 2) First shot: Only see door at begging with lock holes, zoomed in similar to photos. Fly in lock and place onto door. Fly in bolts to secure lock to door (use offset controller) 3) (For Chateua only) show lock plug being inserted into lock hole, after lock and bolts have been flown in 4) Show key being inserted into lock hole and turned, Keep key in. 5) Show bolt being pushed all the way to the left (unlock position) Notes: 1) We only need the animation built, we do not need it rendered. Estimated time for each animation is 30 seconds. 30fps.
