I am wanting to install a sun sail in my backyard anchored to the masonry exterior of my house and two steel tube posts secured in concrete footings. I need to know what hardware and dimensions of posts to withstand the tensions of the cable wire pulling on the house and steel posts. I obviously don’t want to overspend on hardware that is way too strong for the project and don’t want to have the posts/hardware failing to holdup the sun sail during nasty Missouri weather. I need the expertise of a structural engineer.
