I have a research project to measure the audience of TV channels. In this, we want to develop a solution using Audio Fingerprint technology for a real-time identification of tuned TV channel / radio station by using its audio and generate metadata reports. There are Three aspect of this project: 1. Back-end Setup On back-end we want to record audio stream of 100+ live TV channels 24/7 and generate reference audio fingerprints with 5 sec interval and put it in a database called “collection server” 2. Front-end App On front-end we will install application on hundreds of android mobile/tablet devices. This application will identify the tuned TV / radio station by using device microphone and generate its metadata containing time stamps, channel name, and some other information constantly with 5 sec interval. This information will be then be pushed to collection server via cellular. 3. Collection Server On the basis of metadata , Collection server will generate hourly time slots reports of how many users are watching TV, most viewed TV channel, Fav program etc…

Hi, First of all the project must include the following as per our understanding. 1. The mobile applications should collect the audio fingerprint technology to real time collect how many are opening for each registered TV channels. 2. in the "collection server" all those data will be stored and synced in each 5 seconds. Now this is possible though need huge level of R&D and so it can only be done in AGILE and for that your fixed cost concept should be changed. You must have more budget before you jump on it.
