Nostradamus Reveals

Hello, I'm an experienced and proven screenwriter with a number of produced ghostwritten scripts under my belt. Though novels and screenplays both have the similar purpose of unveiling a story, at their core they differ quite remarkably. Thus the proper portrayal of a novel as a film involves more than simply converting the novel chapters into correctly formatted scenes. My approach will thus be as follows: 1. Flesh out the main characters and eliminate other non-essential characters. 2. Identify who the protagonist is out of the main characters (here it is most likely Nostradamus but not necessarily so – I will know once I’ve read the book). 3. Pinpoint the main (pivotal) scenes in the book that will comprise the script. 4. Identify the most powerful dialogue in the book of the main characters and make it snappier in the script. 5. Capture the onscreen characteristics of the characters via their actions and dialogue. This entails isolating any catchy phrases from powerful excerpts of dialogue in the novel. 6. In screenwriting Less is More so a reduction of pages from novel-length to script is a must. This is accomplished through deleting pages/scenes that don’t move the story forward as well as penning terse dynamic descriptions. 7.
