Survey of Globalization of Codes of Ethics of American Organizations

Hello, American society lives in a mash-up of an old America and the new globalized/globalizing world. The public is in the process of rethinking right/wrong in its new context. Per the attached "Companion to Business Ethics" (Chapters 32 then 27), decades ago major American corporations that were becoming increasingly transnational rewrote their Codes of Ethics, shifting them from the companies’ domestic context to their new global context. In a nutshell, I would like to identify a second wave of entities in the USA that are working now to "re-contextualize" their Codes of Ethics to catch up with Globalization’s penetration of the US market and society. These could be associations, volunteer groups, et cetera and companies that did not become transnational corporations but now confront issues related to Globalization in their domestic context. I'm looking to dovetail my work on "global agility" (a re-contextualization of "cultural competence") with current efforts by entities to extend their ethics (and the ethics of their constituencies) to members of out-groups who used to be "foreigners" but who are now stakeholders in our lives. In effect, I'm looking for the cutting-edge of what might be called “popular transnational ethics.” An example: Many corporations now include safeguards in their code of conduct for the human rights of people in their global supply chain. There are entities that are articulating this for investors and consumers. If we wanted to cite 2 or 3 as examples for the public, which would we cite? Which ones offer a clear example of the evolution of the language of their Codes from a domestic to a global context? We can talk about the types of entities whose advances would be the greatest interest...to narrow down your scope. I imagine that the Top 25 examples from a well-defined scope could give us a picture of the "cutting-edge of the popular transnational ethics". Someone may have already covered this ground. As long as I end up with the list and examples of the evolution of the language in their Codes, I'll be happy. That goes for both actual and proposed changes.
