Investigative journalist on economic and political topics

Our company is looking for a skilled person that can do investigative analysis on economic and political situations for specific regions. Our key regions are China, Russia and surrounding countries of Russia. The person should be able understand influencing factors, be able to go the extra mile in identifying additional sources in order to answer the research question. We expect good analytical and written skills. On any given research question, we expect a report up to 2 pages that summaries the finding and links to the identified sources (keep track of trusted information). We assume language skills for the mentioned regions in order to analyse local news, posts, chats and any relevant sources. Analyse 1 Describe in a succinct manner and in detail Russia’s foreign policy towards Ukraine. Who are the key negotiators on the Russian side? What are Kremlin’s long term objectives concerning Ukraine? Analysis 2 Describe in a succinct manner and in detail Russia’s foreign policy in the Eastern Mediterranean region. What long term interests does the Kremlin have in the region? Which entities of the Russian state apparatus are responsible for Russia’s foreign policy towards the region, i.e. Syria, Libya etc.? Which are the most influential ones?
