I have a UK based tort law essay due. Here below is a copy of full text of the essay guidelines. I will also attach a zip that contains all necessary reference material such as lecture notes and the textbook once the project is accepted. The essay does not need case material outside of textbook and notes, but if used that is also fine. Word count max is 2200 words including footnotes. -------ESSAY TOPIC------------------------- One night Dev, Priya, Eric and Joan are out dancing at a club when Dev decides to show off his dance moves. Whilst doing so, he hits Priya in her right eye requiring her to go to the hospital. Dev and Eric have been drinking heavily so Joan agrees to drive Priya to the hospital. On the way to the hospital, Joan becomes enraged by a cyclist Katie, who is weaving in and out of traffic. Joan gets so angry that she drives up alongside Katie and tells her: ‘If I did not have to take my friend to hospital, I would have run you over’. Once they arrive at the hospital, Priya is treated by an ophthalmologist Doctor Adams. Doctor Adams examines Priya’s eye and decides that she needs to undergo emergency surgery. Priya asks Doctor Adams, what the chances are of her losing any vision in her eye. He responds by saying ‘Well I haven’t blinded anyone yet’. After Priya’s surgery, she is informed that she has been left with reduced vision in her right eye. Upon hearing about Priya’s surgery, Dev and Eric leave the club and Dev steals a car to drive to the hospital. Whilst driving Dev crashes into a brick wall whereupon he is killed immediately and Eric is left with several injuries to his leg. Advise the parties.
