Greetings. I had already done this project when I was studying for my bachelor's degree in Mathematics. It uses Batch Gradient Descent and only Numpy, Math, and Matplotlib libraries avoiding the usage of Keras. It displays the converge curves in terms of accuracy and cost. I can also provide you the documentation explaining the code and fundamental concepts of Neural Networks. The number of epochs and alpha for Gradient Descend are customizable and loads the MNIST dataset in a txt file. I can improve the code if you want some further modifications.
