What makes scraping data from PDFs more tricky than say a website is that the data is not always in the order as expect but I have a lot of experience in programmatically parsing PDFs so this is nothing I haven't seen before. First question is definitely if all PDF files to extract data from are based on the same layout. I have 23 years of IT development, web mastering and multimedia. I have several PDF extraction projects where I compiled and scripted open source PoDoFo library tools (and would be used for you too). Proposed Milestones $570 USD - Custom (PHP) script and PDF extraction & saving solution Please provide more information if PDFs are similar and what to extract and store. Planned solution would consist of (I don't know if you need it on a web server or for desktop/laptop computer): 1. Compiled PoDoFo tools - standalone applications (Windows or Mac), most common applications would be podofoimgextract (extracts all images) and podofotxtextract (extracts all texts) yet it depends on your PDFs. If they are saved only as images - no text is extractable - then the script will extract only images and store them. So this bid does NOT include OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to have images scanned and text extracted. 2. Batch script to find and parse all PDFs required - I can create Windows command script fast and Mac/Linux bash script as well.
