Hi there! I require a layout template for a website. The website itself will be created by myself, but I need an eye-catching design/layout template (this is where you come in). There is no current existing website. The existing logo will also be re-designed based on (to fit in with) the site design. This is a clean slate for the successfull applicant. The website is for a small 3 person software development company - a professional image is a must. Website must work in IE5+ and Firefox. Opera and Safari (Mac) is optional, but a plus. No Java or Flash and minimal use of JavaScript preferred. A table-less design with CSS layouts preferred, but optional. A XHTML Transitional or Strict compliant design is preferred. The template itself should have minimal use of images (no photos or stock images). Site must work on any screen resolution of 800x600 and up - look at first example site below for style that I like (light area for text/content with border and darker background - size of text/content area must remain fixed as in first example). Site requires 2-tier navigational menu. Menu must be text-only (can use tiled image background if required) so it can be populated by PHP script (script will be created by myself). First level will include options such as "About Us", "Products", "Services" and "Contact Us". Second Level will be a submenu for currently selected main menu option (e.g. list of products when products main menu option is selected). Both the menu and submenu must be "scipt-friendly" - it must be easy to populate by just repeating a single block of code with different values for link and text. A prominent "Customer Area" and "Support" button/link must be visible on all pages. Other sites I like (please do not copy) are: [login to view URL] (General Layout clean - love the navigation menus. Minimal use of images. Want a similar, cented design incorporated into this site. Support and Customer buttons easy to spot and prominent.) Do not like fact that logo is incorporated into menu - pref more freestanding like first example. Do not want side-bar (links, testimonials) like this site.) Above examples are just to show applicants the sort of site I am looking for. Please do not just copy either one of the designs. Would like to select a designer within one week of job posting. Require first draft no later than 1 week after designer is chosen. Latest design must be made available on designer's website on a frequent basis after the first draft. Payment will only be made after completed design is delivered, approved and tested. Complete source materials (layered PSD, fonts, etc) must be included. Talented designers will be contacted in the future for additional work (if they approve). FTP Server will be provided to applicant to deliver compressed (pref ZIP) design and source materials. Requirements can be discussed in the PMB. Also, in order for your bid to be considered, I require examples of recent, previous work to be posted in PMB. A designer will not be chosen on cost alone. I am looking for a high quality design and a solid portfolio is preferred. Designers may bid for either template design or template design with logo. Please specify on bid which one you are bidding for. A logo and template design will definately be a plus. Thoughts on logo: Logo MUST either look good both in colour and b&w or separate logos must be created (one colour other b&w). Logo must be supplied as either HUGE TIFF file or EPS and JPG/TIFF (or other vector format). Logo will be used on stationary, website, faxes (b&w) and will also be used to make large banners (thus, extremely high quality & resolution is required). Background on company: Company is called "Qubic Software" - was in operation for a few years now (creating custom software), but doing most business offline. Company is now moving online with own site and domain.
