Search Engine

First of all, my English is very bad and I am sorry for that. I am from Canada and used to speak French. Thanks for understanding. I am looking for a person that can design and develop a search engine, similar to [url removed, login to view] but without directory. So I need a person that can create a simple, easy to use, very good looking and fast loading web site. This person should also know how to develop a search engine that runs fast and can handle hundreds of thousands even millions of web pages. This person should also suggest me which type of server to use to start the search engine and should suggest me the right thing! I wouldn't need a monster server to start the web site because I won't have a lot of visitors, web pages indexed the first months... I have to start small and grow and invest as the business grows. Remember I am a student! Paying $70 / month for a dedicated server is not a problem, what I don't have is the skills to manage it so if you suggest me a dedicated server, it must be managed and safe and stable. All I know and all I am an expert in is the internet marketing, nothing else!!! So You, the programmer, should help me built this search engine and help me manage it from time to time. Certainly I will take an arrangement with you so you can have a portion of the profit generated (300$ for developing this type of search engine is not enough, I kmow that!) So I am looking for a person I can trust in and very important : that can make a "hard-to-beat" company logo and site design and can build a fast-working search engine. ## Deliverables

Ok, for the search engine / company name: Obica (or [url removed, login to view]) ::::: Design a profesionnal looking and easy to recognize logo. Search engine style: Front page:::: Simple frontpage, such as [url removed, login to view] but certainly with different style and colors, and logo! Results page:::: Similar to Google but once again, with different style colors and "adwords-styled advertisements placed somewhere else! You to find the place they should be!" For the "Search tips" page and contact page, I will use the same or similar templates as on the results page and do it myself. Search Engine technical: There should be a section on the web site for advertisers (where advertisers will add urls to the database or add adverstiements such as google adwords, and those advertisers should also set a "click-through rate", minimum 6 cents for each url they add or each advertisements they add... Only advertisers for non-profit organisations or educational purposes can add free listings in the database (this should be controlled within an admin area) There will be a section for affiliates. (This is a simple affiliate sheme..) Where new affiliates can sign up (with standard details suchs as Name, Family Name, Web Site, PayPal email address etc..) Those affiliates will be able to promote [url removed, login to view] and once a user clicks on the affiliates's web site to go on [url removed, login to view], the affiliate will get 50% of the click-trhough ernings. The results are sorted by highest "click-throug" order and advertisements should work the same way. The urls and advertisements must be set in different groups in the database. 1st group : Educational (This section will be for schools, high schools and universities and all listings relating educational and learning stuff) 2nd group : Business (All listings and advertisements regarding business, entrepreneurships should be listed there..) 3rd group : Adult (For adult web sites and should be accessed by adults only!) 4th group : General (The most important! Peoples arriving on [url removed, login to view] will automatically be on this section which regroups every listings relating or non-relating business, educational stuff, or any other things from any other kind of groups... Note that adult listings shouldn't be shown there!) The last section: Admin.... I should be able to control every addition to the database (every listings should be approved by me before being in the main database) I should be able to control my advertisers and control my affiliates and see their commission balance (I will use PayPal to pay them..) So maybe built a simple thing to do that. Once a new advertiser joins, he will be given a certain amout of credit (for exemple $25 or even $50 and this amount can be edited by me, in the admin panel.)The advertisers will pay me via PayPal, I'll use a different system as the business grows. I know this is a lot but it is not difficult at all. If you have any questions, just ask me. Remember, this business will work if you help me built it. If you help me built it, I'll give you percentage of the profit generated for a certain period, we'll discuss about it... I won't accept bids higher than $350 (I am a student, this is a project I want to realize and I need BIG help)

## Platform

The web site should not use javascript or any other things that require a certain type of browser. It should be multi-platform and must be working on all browsers.
