Setup backup script for a Linux server

We have a dedicated server in SoftLayer hosting 4 domains. The server is managed but we need to take care of scripts, backups, etc. The server is running Linux Centos, mySQL and all the standard scripts We need to solve the backup needs that is working now by a customized backup script that runs at midnight and noon each day. It copies the files to a folder that is copied to a second server using dirvish. This takes up a lot of disk space and we need to automatically delete old files retainning the last 3 weekly backups and last 3 daily backups to save space. The scrip has to send daily reports by mail to the user and ot be able to monitor succesful and failed backups. What we need is: 1. Suggest the best option for backups and restore with a friendly interface we can modify 2. Use open source code or low cost shareware 2. Develop the script or improve the one we have now 3. Install it in our server and check and monitor if it works 4. Document the script Bidders need to write a short description of how they plan to implement this task in the bids. When the work is completed we need to generate an invoice from coder with the total amount paid.
