The database will contain records about production equipment or machineries to entrepreneurs to enhance production effectiveness at enterprise level. To ensure effective management of the scheme, there is a need for a comprehensive database to facilitate data capturing, processing storing retrieving and management of related information. Looking to develop a database that addresses the above highlighted matters so as to improve record keeping and information management pertaining to the scheme. It should be done using MySQL and php, as it would be web-based

**Specific Objectives of the Assignment**

? To design, develop, adequately test and ultimately actualize a web-based database application that will assist its users to access, analyze, process, and convert data into useful information using various search, sort, filter, and rank queries.

? To design and develop the database that will be used by different users with different privileges and this database is required to have multiple views depending upon the roles of users.

? To develop a system that serve the basic needs such as **data** **entry** **and report**

**generation** **for** **all** **users** **at all** **levels**

? To design and develop the database will also serve as a planning, monitoring, and evaluation system other than just being an information source;

? To develop the system in such a way that the system provides administrative

logs tracking on the various data entry and modification done.

The system will have data capturers and administrators as users. Therefore reports should be linked to the roles of the system users. The system should be designed in such a way that the following reports can be generated:

The Committee decision on each application submitted for assistance

Number of application approved per region, per sector, per financial year

Number of application disapproved per region, per sector, per quarter, financial year

Number of SMEs owned by women, men, disabled

Total number of employment created per region, per sector, per financial year

Total number of women and men employed before and after this intervention

Total amount of funds committed per region, per sector, per quarter , per

financial year

Total amount of funds spent per region, per sector, per quarter, per financial year

The report should be generated on ** _monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually._** Furthermore, the database should also be designed in such a way that both the financial and statistical information can also be reported into graphic presentation such as, **_pie chart, line graph, and histogram._**
